Q:  Do I have to build a certain size or style of home?

A:  Minimum square footage is 1200 of living space.  All homes must have an RV garage.  Homes must meet approval of the architectural committee (other property owners).

 

Q:  Do I have to build within a certain time period?

A:  No.  Many buyers are buying a lot, planning to build when they retire. Once you start building, however, you must complete construction within one year.

 

Q:  Do I have to own a certain size or type of RV?

A:  No.  In fact, you don’t even have to own an RV.

 

Q:  Is there a homeowner’s association?

A:  Not yet.  The homeowner’s association will be run by property owners, once there are enough owners.  The association will determine association fees.

 

Q:  What amenities are included?

A:  All lots have water, sewer, gas and electric to the property line; utilities are underground.  The RV community is secluded and gated, surrounded by tall pine trees. The fabulous, fully-equipped clubhouse with enclosed courtyard is always available to property owners.  There are three complimentary RV slots with hook-ups, to be used by your guests.  And, at no extra charge, you have an abundance of wildlife (wild turkeys, deer, elk, and an occasional bear or two).

 

Q:  What is the advantage of owning my own RV property?

A:  You will be surrounded by fellow RV owners, who understand the lifestyle and need to be away from home for months at a time.  You can leave, knowing that your home will always be secure.  Statistics show that there are five RVs for every rental space, so you not only avoid scheduling hassles, but you build equity.

 

Q:  I’ve never heard of this concept of owning your own RV spot; is this something new?

A:  Actually, this is a growing trend.  Certainly there are numerous such places in the Florida region, but very few in this southwest area.  Many RV’ers appreciate the opportunity to build equity.

 

Q:  What makes this Alto/Ruidoso area so appealing?

A:  The terrain is absolutely breathtaking!  We have a full four seasons here.  We do get several snows per year, but the snow melts rather quickly.  Our summer temps may get into the mid-80s.  We are surrounded by Lincoln National Forest.  Although it is a small resort area, there is much to do:  hiking, skiing, fishing, golfing, horseracing, gambling. We are very centrally located and a day’s drive to cities such as Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, Colorado Springs and Las Vegas.

 

Q:  What are the lots priced at?

A:  The lots start at $50,000 and go up to $170,000.  Prices vary according to view and size.
